Natasha Liu Bordizzo will play Sabine Wren in the Disney + series – Deadline

EXCLUSIVE: Natasha Liu Bordizzo (Community) has been cast as the lead role opposite Rosario Dawson in the Disney + limited series Star Wars: Ahsoka, a spinoff from the streamer’s hit series Mandalorianeren, I have learned. I hear Bordizzo wants to take the character of Sabine Wren off Star Wars rebels animated series. Reps from Lucasfilm and Bordizzo did not return emails for comment.

Dawson stars as Ahsoka Tano in the limited series after making Star Wars: Clone Wars and Rebels the character’s live-action debut in The Mandalorian. The offshoot, written by Dave Filoni and executive produced by Filoni and Jon Favreau, will continue Ahsoka’s story.

Lucasfilm has not released further information about the new series, but there has been much online speculation that key people from Rebels such as Sabine Wren and Ezra Bridger would join Ahsoka in the new show.

That’s because before you fall into The Mandalorian to assess the child, Ahsoka was last seen in the series final by rebels, where she and Wren set out to find Bridger, who had been led away by Purrgil.
