Britney Spears shouts at Christina Aguilera as she praises Lady Gaga

Britney Spears is free and she’s definitely not holding back anymore.

The Princess of Pop took to her Instagram Stories Friday night to post a video of another 90s pop star, Christina Aguilera, who declined to answer a question about Spears during a recent interview.

The video is from the red carpet at Thursday’s Latin Grammy Awards, when Aguilera was asked by a journalist if she has been in communication with Spears after the termination of her 13-year-old conservatory. Aguilera’s publicist then interrupts the reporter’s question to pull Aguilera away, saying, “No, we do not tonight. Sorry.”

Aguilera frowns and tells reporters she can not answer the question until she walks away from the press line and adds, “But I’m happy on her behalf.”

Spears posted the video of Aguilera along with the message: “I love and adore everyone who supported me … but refusing to speak when you know the truth is tantamount to a lie !!!! 13 years in a corrupt abuse system, but why is it so hard a topic for people to talk about ??? It’s me who went through it !!!! All the supporters who spoke up and supported me, thank you … yes I do something !!!! ! ”

Variety has reached out to Aguilera’s publicist, who is featured in the video. He did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Spears and Aguilera became famous together as child stars in Disney’s “The Mickey Mouse Club”, where they starred from 1993-1994. As teenagers, they both slung into international superstar at the same time as female pop singers emerged in the 90s boybands, alongside Mandy Moore and Jessica Simpson. In 2003, the infamous appeared at the MTV VMAs with Madonna.

Last June, after Spears’ blistering testimony about the abuse she claims she endured during her conservatory, Aguilera expressed her support for Spears, posting a childhood photo together and issuing a statement that partially said, “The last couple days I have “thought of Britney and everything she goes through … It is unacceptable that any woman, or human, who wants to have control over their own destiny may not be allowed to live as they want .

While Aguilera avoided questions about Spears on Thursday night, Lady Gaga (who was at another red carpet event on Thursday, the Los Angeles premiere of her film “House of Gucci”) spoke at length about Spears when asked about her freedom from journalists.

Shortly after she wrote about Aguilera on Friday night, Spears also wrote about Gaga to thank her for her words.

“Thank you, Lady Gaga, for sincerely taking the time to say something so kind,” Spears wrote on his Instagram Stories. “You made me cry !!! I love you !!!”

In the Gaga interview, referenced by Spears, the Oscar-winning “Star Is Born” musician and actor said the way Spears was treated in the industry was wrong. She also took a moment to comment on the negative treatment of women in the music industry in general. “I think she will forever be an inspiration to women,” Gaga said in the interview posted by Spears.

After Spears wrote about Gaga, the “House of Gucci” star responded by posting a picture on her Instagram story, writing: “Love you @britneyspears. Live your best life. I asked the court system to treat you like a person “You have now changed the course for women in this industry forever. You stood up for yourself and were so brave. Thank you.”

Last night, Lady Gaga spoke with Variety at the premiere of her Oscar-buzzy film. When asked about Spears, she said she would like to work with her. “Of course I would!” exclaimed Gaga on the red carpet.

“Britney is, she’s a woman in this industry who showed a lot of power in her sexuality, even in her youth, in a way that, I think, for me as a young woman, was just so inspiring and empowering, told Lady Gaga. Variety last night. “And I want to say it, really – we can all mess with her, but the person who changed her life was her. So this change that is happening to her, it happened because of her, I think. I is excited about her future and I wish her all the best. ”

Spears’ conservatory ended exactly one week ago when Los Angeles Supreme Court Justice Brenda Penny dismissed the court-ordered scheme after nearly 14 years of controversial, lengthy legal battle. The pop star is represented by Hollywood’s attorney and former federal prosecutor, Mathew Rosengart, who continues to fight for justice against her father, Jamie Spears, and the former manager of her property, Tri Star Sports & Entertainment Group.

“It still blows my mind every day, I wake up to how my family and the conservatory were able to do what they did to me,” Spears said on his Instagram on November 16th. “It was demoralizing and degrading.” Spears has largely thanked members of the #FreeBritney movement and said she celebrates on “cloud 9” after the conservatory closed.
