Britney Spears urges Christina Aguilera to abstain from a question of conservatory

The recently released Britney Spears called Christina Aguilera on Friday after Aguilera avoided a question about Spears’ successful fight last week to end a 13-year-old conservatory that gave her father legal control over her life.

“I love and adore everyone who supported me … but refusing to speak when you know the truth is tantamount to a lie !!!!” Spears responded to Instagram Stories on a clip of Aguilera refusing to speak up Thursday at the 2021 Latin Grammy Awards.

Aguilera was asked by a journalist if she and Spears had “any communication” or if they would “celebrate” Spears’ release.

Aguilera hesitated, and her publicist replied, “No, I’m sorry, we do not tonight.”

Aguilera then said, “I can not … but I’m happy on her behalf.”

It was clearly not good enough for Spears.

She remarked: “13 years to be in a corrupt abuse system, but why is it so hard a topic for people to talk about ??? It’s me who went through it !!!! All the supporters who spoke up and supported me , thank you… yes I do something !!!!! ”

Aguilera spoke for Spears back in June.

“It is unacceptable that any woman or person who wants to have control over their own destiny may not be allowed to live the life they want,” Aguilera tweeted with an old photograph of the two of them as children.

Aguilera did not immediately respond to Spears’ comments Friday.

The singers were members of The All-New Mickey Mouse Club from 1993 to 1994.

They also co-hosted the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards. Both performed with Madonna in 2003 at the VMAs.
