The first season of Call of Duty: Vanguard‘s multiplayer, and Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific Pacific Ocean and its new Battle Royale card will be delayed by a week, Activision announced Friday afternoon.
The company has not provided a justification for the short delay. Owners of Call of Duty: Vanguard will still get a one-day preview of Warzone Pacific‘s Caldera card all to itself on December 8th. Open access to the Caldera begins on December 9th.
Call of Duty: Warzone is currently in Operation: Flashback, a time-limited event for the outgoing card, Verdansk. A series of multiplayer challenges featuring knowledge filled with “intel” about the Caldera and some of its 200 points of interest were to begin on November 24, and a special event to close Verdansk was to begin on November 30. It is not immediately clear whether these events in the game will either be delayed or extended by a week.
Caldera will be the largest card to date Call of Duty: Warzone, whose name changes to Warzone Pacific with its introduction. It replaces Verdansk when it arrives.
