DC murder suspects are wanted and police need your help

WASHINGTON, DC – The Metropolitan Police Department’s homicide department is seeking help to locate more suspects who are currently wanted for homicide offenses.

2021 Kill: Unit Block of Madison Street, Northeast

(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s homicide department are seeking public assistance in locating a suspect with reference to a homicide that occurred on Saturday, March 20, 2021, in the unit block in Madison Street, Northeast.

At approximately 7:44 p.m., members of the fourth district responded at the designated location to receive the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members found two adult male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and EMS responded at the scene, and after finding any signs that matched life, one of the victims remained at the scene until it was transported to the office of the chief physician. The second victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The deceased has been identified as 21-year-old Demetris Johnson, of Southeast, DC.

The suspect in this case has been identified as 18-year-old Nyjell Outler, of Southeast, DC. He is wanted on an arrest warrant in the DC Superior Court, which is targeting him Second degree murder while armed.

The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a reward of up to $ 25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any murder committed in the District of Columbia. In partnership with MPD, The United States Marshals Service has offered an extra $ 10,000, brings the total reward amount to $ 35,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect in this case. 2020 Kill: 600 Block of 46th Place, Southeast

(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Squad are seeking public assistance in locating a suspect wanted in connection with a homicide that took place on Thursday, August 6, 2020 in the 600 block of 46th Place, Southeast.

At about 5:47 p.m., members of the Sixth District responded at the designated location to get the report of the sound of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers found an adult man with multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded on the scene and found no signs that matched life. The victim remained on the scene until it was transported to the chief physician’s office. Another adult man was found at the scene, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the area hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. In addition, a young man went into a local hospital with a gunshot wound. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Michael Brittingham, of Northeast, DC.

The suspect in this case has been identified as 18-year-old Dreven Young, of Southeast, DC. He is wanted on an arrest warrant in DC Superior Court, targeting him as an adult Second degree murder while armed.

Drab 2021: 600 Block of O Street, Northwest

(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Department are seeking public assistance in locating a suspect with reference to a homicide that occurred on Saturday, March 13, 2021, in the 600 block of O Street, Northwest.

At about 10:43 p.m., members of the third district responded at the designated location to receive the report of the sound of gunfire. Upon arrival, members found an adult male victim on the sidewalk suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services rushed to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital, where the victim was pronounced dead despite all life-saving efforts.

The deceased has been identified as 29-year-old Nicolas Hawkins, from Greenbelt, MD.

The suspect in this case has been identified as, 26-year-old Anthony Antonio Whitted, Northwest, DC. He is wanted on an arrest warrant in the DC Superior Court, which is targeting him Second degree murder while armed.
