Do you find it difficult to read the text in certain apps on your iPhone? Especially when using an app that uses a small font size (Facebook and Instagram think of).
iOS 15 has a trick up its sleeve to make this easier for you.
And you do not have to make the text massive in every app to do so. You can selectively change the font size for specific apps.
As with most of these “iOS tricks”, they are not obvious. You need to know where it is to use it.
Let me show you.
OK, the first thing you need to do is add the text size feature to iOS Control Center.
To do so, go to Settings> Control Center, and scroll down to the bottom to More controls and press the green plus sign next to it Text size.
OK, so it’s added Text size button to Control center. Swipe (from top to right and down on newer iPhones with Face ID or from the bottom up on older handsets with Touch ID) to display the Control Center.
OK, now that you have it installed, you can start using it. When in an app where you want to change the font size – up or down – open the Control Center and press the Text Size button.
This will give you two settings – vertically there is a slider that allows you to control the font size, and along the bottom you have a switch that lets you choose whether it is specific to the app or a global adjustment you make.
Now you know how to make this change, you can customize the font size of apps to your heart’s desire!
