Police have found a shotgun at a Gorton cemetery.
Officers discovered the weapon at the grounds of St James Church on Wellington Street yesterday (Thursday).
A number of police vehicles and vans from the Tactical Aid Unit were stationed at the scene while the search was conducted.
It is not confirmed by GMP whether the shotgun was loaded.

Detective Charlotte Quinn, from GMP’s City of Manchester division, said: “This result removes yet another suspected firearm from the streets that could have been used in a criminal activity.
“We rely on help and information from the public to take firearms off the streets.
