The shows will mark BENEE’s first Australian dates since appearing as part of the Laneway Festival series in 2020. That was the year the 21-year-old artist broke through with ‘Supalonely’, the four billion streaming single from her second EP, and has had to wait for a chance to tour outside his home country again. Since then, she has released her debut album Hi ux, which also featured the mega-hit and collaborates with Grimes, Lily Allen, Mallrat and more.

Hi ux was listed as one of Billboard’s 25 best pop albums of 2020, noting that BENEE “considers Gen Z’s suffering with a keen ear for choruses and arrangements that swing between indie rock and hyperpop”. Stereogum praised its “quirky but impeccably produced pop music”, and Vogue called it “13 tracks of heavenly indie-alt-pop”.

“I’m very excited to announce that my 2022 WORLD TOUR KILLS IN NZ in February next year,” said BENEE. “I AM SO READY TO TOUR. Doing shows with my band is the best thing and I have missed it so hard this year. Waiting, changing the schedule, waiting again has been incredibly difficult.”

Last month, BENEE returned with her first original single of the year with ‘Doesn’t Matter’, another deeply revealing track that reflects the singer’s journey through the emotional rattle of 2021.

An upcoming BENEE EP release leads to plans for 2022 with what excites her most, a hefty tour schedule that will finally bring her live show to adoring fans around the world.

Tickets go on sale Friday, Nov. 26 with a Live Nation presale starting one day earlier at. 10.00.
