The former director of the Center Pompidou is piloting the Elysian “New Worlds” project, which after the 2020 cut was decided to support artistic creation.

He had barely left his post as director of the National Museum of Modern Art when Emmanuel Macron entrusted him with the management of a program that until then had been called the “Public Commission.” Bernard Blistène is a learned art historian and familiar with contemporary creation. To select 264 files from the 3,200 received, he skillfully surrounded himself with a committee of experts, artists, and a philosopher. Visual art, dance, literature, all areas of creation and all French territories are affected by these new worlds.
