Police are chasing Wormwood Scrubs prisoner after fleeing London hospital

Police have issued an urgent request to find a Wormwood Scrubs prisoner who fled after being moved to the hospital.

Metropolitan Police urged members of the public to “call 999 immediately” if they see Manray Woolfall, who was serving a sentence in West London jail and escaping from custody on Friday. They warned the public not to approach him.

Woolfall had been moved to a mental health facility in west London and was then transferred to a central hospital in London following a “suspected medical episode”, according to Met.

He ran away from the hospital at 12.35 and “was last seen at Chancellors Wharf, W6 [a housing complex near the Thames in Hammersmith] going in the direction of Hammersmith Bridge, ”police added.

“He is believed to be wearing a gray T-shirt, green and black windbreak shirt and gray trousers rolled up to his knees with black thermal trousers underneath.

“He has two tattoos on his left arm and one on his right arm. He is slender in build with brown shoulder-length hair and a goatee.

“If seen, Manray should not be contacted by members of the public; call 999 instead, ref 6026926/21.”
