Buffalo Bills activates wide receiver Marquez Stevenson from IR; lift two defensive tackles

The Buffalo Bills made three moves on the roster ahead of tonight’s game with the New Orleans Saints, where they lifted two defensive tackles from the training team and activated wide receiver Marquez Stevenson from the injured reserve. The defensive tackles elevated to tonight’s match are Eli Ankou and Brandin Bryant.

Stevenson, a rookie that Bills met in the sixth round of the April NFL Draft, made a name for himself as a recurring man at the University of Houston. He returned 34 kickoffs in college and returned three of them to touchdowns. He was also a solid receiver as he ended his collegiate career with 22 touchdown catches, good for sixth place in school history.

During the preseason, Stevenson caught six passes on 68 yards in three games. He also returned five kickoffs for 125 yards. He returned three points for 104 yards and a touchdown, a 79-yard score in Buffalo’s win over the Chicago Bears. Stevenson has been recovering from a foot injury, which was why he was placed on injured reserve to begin the season.

Ankou and Bryant have been on Buffalo’s training team over the course of the season. None of the players have appeared in a match yet this season.
