Emirati companies show off their latest products at the Egypt International Defense Exhibition

Emirati defense companies look forward to showcasing their latest products and services by participating under the umbrella of the UAE Pavilion at the Egypt International Defense Exhibition (EDEX 2021).

The exhibition will be held from November 29 to December 2 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center. It is the largest event in the military industry in Egypt and the African continent. It brings together large local and international companies in defense and armaments (land – sea – air).

The participation of the United Arab Emirates comes within the framework of fraternal and historical relations with the sister Arab Republic of Egypt. Given the importance of this event, the country participates through a national pavilion that includes about 22 companies and institutions working in the defense and security industry. The state pavilion in the exhibition covers an area of ​​about 1,600 square meters and is considered one of the largest participating pavilions.

The Emirates Defense Companies Council oversees the country’s pavilion at the Egypt International Defense Exhibition in collaboration with its strategic partners represented by the Ministry of Defense and the Balance Economic Council.

Matar Ali Al Rumaithi, President of the Emirates Council for Defense Companies, described the exhibition as an important event that brings together the various defense and security sectors from around the world to exchange ideas and learn about the latest defense and security manufacturing technologies.

He expressed the Emirates Defense Companies Council’s pride in overseeing the regulation of state participation and helping to create an atmosphere of dialogue between emirate defense companies and institutions and their counterparts from around the world.

He added that the defense and security industry sector in the country has witnessed remarkable progress and escalating growth even over the past year, and participation in this exhibition will allow us to review our success stories in developing this vital sector and research opportunities for cooperation and common development to achieve mutual benefits.

The UAE Pavilion includes the platforms of six companies that are members of the Emirates Defense Industries Council: Al Hamra, International Golden Group, Electro Optics Systems, Cable Corp, Atlas Communications, Al Fattan Ship Industry and Etimad, in addition to a balance on technology and innovation.

The exhibition also witnesses a broad participation of the Edge Group through the country’s pavilion; The group offers products and solutions to 13 of its companies with the brand “Made in UAE”.

Visitors to the exhibition will be introduced to unique products, solutions and services offered by the Edge Group, one of the world’s leading organizations in technology development and defense and security manufacturing; These products include autonomous systems, precision-guided ammunition, electronic warfare equipment, intelligence, naval and land systems, maintenance, overhaul, repair and training services.

The number of companies participating in the UAE Pavilion in the exhibition is 22 companies, in addition to the Emirates Council for Defense Industries and Nation Shield magazine, which specializes in defense and strategic affairs.
