Truck driver remanded in custody after leading Los Angeles County law enforcement on long-term hunt

A truck driver has been remanded in custody after leading deputies on a hunt through Los Angeles County on Thanksgiving.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department was initially on the hunt for the truck in the Compton area late Thursday night. The suspect traveled through parts of Compton, South Los Angeles and then Long Beach before returning to Compton.

After the cash register stopped forever, a minute-long standoff occurred between the suspect and the deputies. The suspect eventually ran out of the box truck before she was eventually tackled and taken into custody by deputies.

The suspected pursuer was wanted for assault with a deadly weapon on an officer.
