The new activities added to the “Tajer Abu Dhabi” license include various areas such as marine services consulting, tourism and entertainment consulting, accounting and auditing systems analysis, logistics consulting, services, statistical consulting, electronic network consulting, agricultural extension services, printing. textiles and clothing, and artistic design services for publications.
The “Abu Dhabi Trader” license, which allows UAE nationals and residents to practice their own businesses, helps reduce the costs of starting a business, as license holders do not need to provide a domicile for up to three years after starting their business. After this period, that it is in line with the conditions necessary for their field of activity and obtaining the technical approval of the relevant authorities.
Since the launch of the Abu Dhabi Trader license in 2017, the economic activities covered have grown significantly, from 30 activities when the license was launched to 1,200 activities with the addition of new activities.
The economic activities under the Abu Dhabi Trader license account for 30% of the activities authorized by the Department of Economic Development, at the end of last year (2023) there were 3,982 activities.
