In the 19 days, from October 7 to 25, at least 7,028 people have been killed – including 2,913 children – in Israel’s attacks on Gaza, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
On October 26, the ministry published a comprehensive report detailing the names, ages, genders and ID numbers of 6,747 of those victims.
“The world must realize that behind every number there is a story of a person whose name and identity are well known,” said the ministry’s spokesperson.
The list did not include the names of 281 people, who at that time were still being identified by the ministry.
In recent days, the Israeli military has launched air and ground strikes in Gaza – including on homes and hospitals – which has come under constant airstrikes since an October 7 surprise attack by the Palestinian group Hamas that killed at least 1,405 people in Israel. according to Israeli authorities.
Since this list was published, the death toll in Gaza has increased passed 8,500, thousands more disappeared or buried under the rubble.
The health ministry’s figures have been deemed unreliable by humanitarian groups, international organizations, including the United Nations, news media and branches of the United States government, during multiple previous rounds of fighting in Gaza.

Residents of Gaza have flocked to hospitals and United Nations schools for safety, hoping that Israel will abide by international law and not attack those coordinates.
However, even the places of refuge have not been free from Israeli attacks.
