The meeting discussed various issues on its agenda regarding procedures to adapt to the government’s work issues, development and societal aspirations to provide a dignified life to the citizens and residents of Sharjah.
The Council reviewed the report on the results of the work of the second strategic plan for the year 2021-2023, which addressed the efforts, strategic map, tasks for the Emirate of Sharjah to join the global network of age-friendly cities. achieved, and the entities that carry out strategic activities, in addition to developing criteria for age-friendly cities, results in terms of the transfer of global axes, standards and practices.
The report reviewed the implementation rate of the second strategic plan for 2021-2023, which was 99%, as the Age-Friendly City of Global Network stipulates the launch of many initiatives and activities to support the standards of cities for older adults. and improve the services offered to the elderly, and the number of 46 activities and initiatives provided by 27 local entities.
The Council reviewed the Sharjah Advisory Council’s amendments to a bill on real estate leasing in the Emirate of Sharjah, and instructed the Council to send the draft to Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, a member of the Supreme Council and His Highness Sheikh Dr. Ruler of Sharjah to form the legislature.
