Flydubai has said it expects to receive seven aircraft by the end of 2024, and plans to hire more than 130 new pilots by the end of the year, in addition to plans to establish new maintenance and training facilities, which will reflect that. his latest earnings.
According to the carrier, the new aircraft it will receive will support the expansion of its network, adding Basel, Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius to its destinations.
Flydubai’s CEO, Ghaith Al Ghaith, said: “The company’s workforce has grown to more than 5,800 employees today, representing 140 nationalities, including more than 1,200 pilots, and we are on track to hire more than 130 pilots by the end of the year.’
Al Ghaith added: “This year, the carrier has employed more than 440 workers, an increase of 6% over last year.”
He continued: “To support our growth trajectory, there is an ongoing recruitment drive to add more skilled and talented personnel to the (Flydubai) workforce, which includes pilots, cabin crew, engineers and other positions in various departments of the company. and departments”.
Al Ghaith stated that Flydubai, from its headquarters in Dubai, has expanded its network to reach more than 125 destinations in 58 countries today, served by a modern and active fleet of 88 Boeing 737 aircraft.
He emphasized that Flydubai continues to attract more national talent to the company, having attracted a new elite of young Emirati talent over the past two years as part of its efforts to employ the country’s youth and enhance the country’s Emiratization efforts by employing top talent. professionals and putting them in the right roles and positions.
