As part of its second phase, Dubai Healthcare City laid the foundation stone for “Asan-Emirates Digestive Diseases Hospital”, a project by the Emirati company Scope Investments, to be the first international branch of Asan Hospital. One of the largest hospitals and health centers in South Korea, which will help provide healthcare services and educational opportunities in the field of digestive diseases, contributing to the continuous development of Dubai’s healthcare sector.
The foundation stone was laid in front of Dubai Health Authority Director General Awad Sagheer Al Ketbi; Moon Byung-jun, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Dubai and the Northern Emirates; Issam Galadari, Executive Director of Dubai Healthcare City Authority; Dr. So Sang Park, pediatric orthopedic surgeon and chief financial officer of Asan Hospital; Najeeb Fayyad, CEO of Scope Investments; Dr. Saeed Al Daya, General Manager of the Health Sector at Scope Investments, and various officials from Dubai Health Authority, Dubai Health City Authority and Scope Investments.
The hospital, which is expected to be completed by 2026, helps expand the scope of services offered by the Dubai Healthcare City system.
Awad Saghir Al Ketbi said the major developments in the healthcare sector in the Emirate of Dubai are the remarkable investment climate the emirate provides for the growth of this vital sector and the increasing demand rates for high quality healthcare services. All this is one of the reasons that made Dubai an ideal destination and an important location for the largest hospitals and medical centers.
On his part, the Consul General of the Republic of Korea said: “We extend our warmest congratulations to the leading Korean Asan Medical Center for establishing this new specialist hospital in Dubai for the care and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases. Issam Galadari said: “Asan Hospital – Emirates gastrointestinal diseases The establishment of the treatment facility is an important achievement that supports our efforts to develop the second phase of Dubai Healthcare City.”
Dr. So Sang Park said, “We will work to provide a full range of services to treat digestive diseases.”
