Reviewing developments in the implementation of the Emirati family growth support program in Abu Dhabi

Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Head of Abu Dhabi’s Community Development Department, confirmed the program to support the growth of the Emirati family, which was approved by the Executive Council of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, chaired by His Highness the Sheikh. Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Executive Council, reflects his efforts to achieve the social sector. The aspirations of the wise leadership to provide citizens with the highest standards of decent living, based on its foundation. to believe in the importance of the family as the nucleus of a cohesive society that embraces its members. He said: The importance of the programme, as part of Abu Dhabi’s strategy for family quality of life, supports the journey towards family building, growth and stability. It is in line with the objectives of the “Madeem” initiative, which helps the people of the country to start a happy married life and build a stable family.

This was during a meeting held by the department to review the developments in the implementation of the program, Eng. Hamad Ali Al Dhaheri, Deputy Secretary of the Department of Community Development, Abdullah Al Ameri, Director General of Abu Dhabi. The Social Assistance Authority, Sanaa Mohammed Suhail, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Childhood Authority, and Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, and several officials from the program partners. Hamad Al Dhaheri stressed the importance of continuing coordination between agencies implementing the program with the aim of ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services. During the meeting, entities reviewed their readiness to implement initiatives and began receiving requests from targeted citizen groups in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

6 initiatives

The program includes 6 main initiatives, among others: the Facilitated Marriage Advancement Initiative, the Initiative to Support Maternity Leave for Women Workers in the Private Sector and the Initiative of the House-to-House Visiting Service to Support New Parents, in addition to the initiatives that provide rental assistance to newly married citizens and deduct an amount . Home loan value for each additional child in the family, from the fourth child to the Sixth child, besides extending the repayment period of the home loan from the fourth child to the sixth child, within specific criteria and conditions. The program to support the growth of the Emirati family will be implemented over a period of 5 years, and the positive impact of the initiatives will be evaluated to ensure their contribution to building a more stable and prosperous society.
