Today, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the State, may God protect him, awarded the “Order of Zayed” to the President of the friendly Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo… the close relations that unite the two countries and the prosperity of their cooperation at various levels in the past.
The medal ceremony – the UAE’s highest award given to heads of state, kings and leaders – took place at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi as part of the Indonesian president’s visit to the UAE.
His Highness the President said that the awarding of the “Zayed Medal” to our friend Joko Widodo is an expression of our personal appreciation for him and his appreciable efforts to advance Emirati-Indonesian relations at various levels. He wishes the President of Indonesia and his people continued progress and prosperity.
For his part, President Joko Widodo expressed his gratitude to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and that he is proud of the medal, because of the signs of the excellence of the relations between the two countries, in addition to the name it bears. Founder Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “May God rest his soul”, an inspiring global figure with his timeless human values.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan awarded Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investments of the Republic of Indonesia, the “Medal of Unity” in recognition of his sincere efforts to strengthen the strategic relations between the UAE and Indonesia. .
Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan thanked His Highness for this pleasant initiative and for the appreciation received, wishing us further development of relations between the two countries in the next phase.
