His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah and Chairman of the Judicial Council, issued a decision on the establishment of the Family Business Dispute Resolution Commission.
The decision stipulated that a committee called the “Family Business Dispute Resolution Committee” would be established in the courts of Ras Al Khaimah, chaired by Judge Muhammad Shawqi Muhammad Salem Al Khadrawi and Dr. Salem Ali Al Sharhan Al Nuaimi and Dr. Ahmed Rashid Ahmed. Obaid Al Shumaili.
The Commission assumes the powers established in Federal Law Decree 37 of 2022 on family businesses.
Councilor Ahmed Mohammed Al Khatri, Head of Ras Al Khaimah Courts, praised the decision, which is part of the initiatives promoted by His Highness the Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah to develop the judicial system and judicial services in the emirate.
Counselor Al Khatri said: “The decision to form a Family Business Dispute Resolution Committee in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah is of great importance and has a positive impact on the implementation of Federal Law 37 of 2022, which aims to provide a preventive guarantee in the face of family disputes affecting important established economic entities.” . with uncertain consequences in disagreements and disputes about the shares and their distribution”.
Councilor Al Khatri added that the Department of Courts has initiated administrative and legal procedures to facilitate the commission’s work and is ready to receive any request or case within its jurisdiction.
