Live – Abu Dhabi: The UAE has been ranked second in the world for career opportunities for expatriate workers in a survey conducted by “InterNations”, the world’s largest platform for expats.

The InterNations platform analyzed the opinions of 12,500 workers from 174 countries and regions of the world about the country they would like to work in, which could improve their job opportunities and professional life.

The UAE ranked second in the world, ahead of the United States, Luxembourg, Qatar, Belgium, Ireland, Australia, the United Kingdom and Hong Kong, respectively..

The survey covers 4 main work-related categories, including career opportunities, pay and job security, work culture and satisfaction, and work and leisure..

The UAE represented the Middle East region in the top 10 of the list, with the UAE ranking sixth in salary and job security, and the same position in work culture and job satisfaction. Overall, the UAE ranked tenth in terms of the best place to work in the world.

The report indicated that the three factors that received the highest approval rates in the UAE Quality of Life Index are the government’s environmental policies, infrastructure and political stability.

Almost 9 in 10 participants (86 percent) agreed that the government supports policies to protect the environment, compared to 61 percent globally.

In terms of travel and transport, 91% rated car infrastructure positively, compared to 73% globally, but cars are less satisfied with the availability of public transport (ranked 17th) compared to 2023..

In terms of the basic index of expatriates, this is one of the areas where the UAE stands out above all other countries, as the country ranks first in two of the four subcategories..
