Three meetings on the sidelines of the session of the Arab Children’s Parliament

The Advisory Council of the Emirate of Sharjah witnessed meetings of the Arab Parliamentary Office for Children and the Children’s Rights and Activities and Events Committees, separately.

In the meetings held on the sidelines of the fourth and last session of the third session of the Parliament, several issues were addressed, including the most prominent interventions of his session dedicated to the topic of “Social Responsibility of the Member of Parliament”.

The meeting of the Arab Parliamentary Committee on Children was attended by its heads, Jinan Al-Sharif, Hala Jahleel and Hebatullah Al-Alami, the first and second representatives, Yasmina Mishik, the president of the Children’s Rights Committee, Salama Al-Tunaiji. , President of the Activities Committee, and Yaman Othman Al-Barout, Secretary General of the Parliament.

The meeting touched on the most outstanding works of the Parliament during the third session, which continued for two years in Sharjah, workshops and programs and the results of the diplomas presented in collaboration with the University of Sharjah.

The Activities Committee met under the chairmanship of Salama Al-Taniji and in the presence of Hala Al-Toum, Alaa Aouni, Munira Al-Busmait, Yasmine Okasha, Zainab Muhammad, Saud Al-Issa, Elias Al-Maani, Salim Muhammad, Abdullah. Al-Mansouri, John Dandan, Sama Wael, Menan Anas and Haider Suleiman.

Programs and workshops launched at the meeting were discussed and helped to increase the role of male and female members of parliament, in addition to the importance of their contribution to their environment, school and community.

The Committee confirmed that the Parliament had succeeded in achieving its objectives by organizing programmes, workshops and a parliamentary skills diploma.

The Children’s Rights Committee held a meeting under the chairmanship of Yasmine Mishek, and was attended by Muhammad Aziz Al-Mansouri, Fatima Ahmed Al-Ghad, Sarah Youssef Ahmed, Sayed Ahmed Al-Ayashi, Luqman Yazid, Abdulaziz Al-. Qahtani, Lujain Al-Amiri, Nersian Hossam, Saud Al-Mutawtah, Ahmed Tariq Al-Faramawi, Taha Omar and Yamen Khalil.

During the meeting, children’s rights were discussed in various contexts, and Parliament emphasized the role of promoting and achieving them.

At the end of the meetings, the Bureau and the two committees expressed their thanks and gratitude to Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary General of the League. To the Arab States, for their continued support of the Parliament and for strengthening its role in the service of Arab children.

Ayman Othman Al-Barout emphasized that these meetings have played an essential role in promoting a constructive dialogue between members and achieving the goals of the Parliament in the service of Arab children.
