He added that the UAE will continue to work diligently and will be a leader and pioneer in multiplying the necessary efforts with the United Nations and international partners to support efforts to alleviate human suffering.
Reem Al Hashemi stressed that the UAE believes that a return to the tragic situation that existed before October 7, 2023 cannot achieve the lasting peace that Palestinians, Israelis and all want, and that the UAE believes that the establishment of stability and security in the Palestinian territories and the entire region begins with an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, and release all prisoners and hostages.

In this context, Reem Al Hashemi stressed that Israel, as the occupying authority, must fulfill its role in accordance with international law and human rights norms, because Gaza cannot be rebuilt if it remains under siege, and if the Palestinian Authority does not allow it to assume its responsibilities, it must stop withholding money, in addition to stopping the construction and violence of settlements in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
